Academic research confirms that students who receive holistic and integral education turn out to be high performers not only in professional and personal life, but also in the social milieu.

Individual attention, sensitivity and empathy are essential pre-requisites for the student fraternity to make them receptive to academic learning as it does not merely address their academic grades but enhances their persona.

Commensurate with these findings, educators need to address the child holistically and not just focus on his academic performance. There is absolute consensus amongst educationists that creating a classroom environment that enables teachers to provide individual attention to students is one of the best strategies to ensure all round success in later years.

At Jay International School, we believe in smaller class which is one of the most positive initiatives that a school can undertake. We owe it to our Young Jaysians as they are our hope for the future.

We earmark one teacher for a group of approx. 30 students. This enables a personal touch, seamless facilitation, and friendly monitoring. It also enables the teacher to detect emotional blocks, if any, and resolve them.

We upheld that each child is a unique individual with different skill sets, motivators and learning channels. Working with this in mind, we design all interventions, teaching strategies and supports to meet the specific learning styles of the individual child. Small size classes enable our teachers to implement a curriculum that is rich with activities that promote experiential learning and ensures maximum participation from the students. It also enables teachers to match their pace of teaching with the learning of individual student; their immediate and personalized feedback on the learning outcomes keep the students motivated throughout their journey of learning.

Guidance & Counseling

“Children require guidance and sympathy far more than instruction.”

There are two vital experiences that affect the personality and development of a child. One is the experiences at home which undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the child. Being a primary relationship, the home environment has to be a loving and nurturing environment.

Our counseling program begins at home. Therefore we should like to offer certain programs like help on parenting through dialogue and counseling.

Secondly, the secondary relationship is the school environment. Both the interactive and learning experiences at school help the child to become a well-adjusted personality, able to cope with the challenges in the world. Our counseling program consists of making an educational diagnosis of the students, whereby preventive and corrective measures can be adopted so that they can improve their ways of learning and living. Besides remedial programs, we also take into account enrichment programs that help the students to excel themselves.

Variety of services like individual and group counseling, parent-teacher consultation, direct assistance to students as well as one-on-one sessions with the students. These programs are evaluated time to time to meet the exigencies of the students.

Every possible care is taken to ensure that our teaching staff is of the highest possible quality. The role of teachers extends well beyond classroom instruction. Children need to be cared for at all times and need to know that someone has an overarching awareness of their lives at school.

Teachers are accessible to parents and students alike for one-to-one consultations, are helpful in addressing individual educational needs and eager to help. The comparatively small size of each class enables our teachers to give attention to each student both inside and outside the classroom.
